What do you think?

Everything seems not as good today. College really takes it out of me.

Had a lecture about marxism and neo-marxism in sociology and then learned about religious critiques of marx and watched a video about him in religious studies.

Repetetive much?

All it made me think is that I don’t agree at all with many ideas that are around today and that I hear about at college and it brings me down. I don’t want to be held down by other people’s ideas and beliefs; if I read them they will be planted in my head and I will only ever be able to create ideas in accordance to those pre existing ideas. I wish I was able to get out there, have time to think and decide on my own ideas.

and be taken seriously.

The big question is:

Will people not take me as seriously if i’m pretty or a model or half naked for a living?

I hope that people would be able to understand me as a whole package including my ideas, personality and motivation to do all things that I take part in and that they cannot be separated on my ideas of religion and society…

What do you think?

  1. Some people will take you seriously since they are not stuck in our culture's worldview. However, I'm afraid that most people in this country will have a problem doing that.

  2. From my experience people judge people, at first, by the exterior. Most of these people's opinions do not matter. In fact, being pretty gives people an advantage over 'ugly' people...which is sadl. So really it is an advantage to be 'pretty.'

The REAL difference between being taken seriously or not has everything to do with what you say and how you treat others. You can't please everyone. To some Marx is a legend, others fear him...some see him as foolish. So really being yourself is the only option you have - regardless of outcome.
